The Devil and God
By Frank Atlas
As I descended the trail
I started to feel the heat of Hell
Face washed in sweat
My fear became Comfort
My madnessascending to a peak
I got lost in the lust of evil
And found comfort in the actions of a sinner
The Devil Said Stay Calm
By Marina Hugo
I always thought in darkest day
The Devil would meet with flame.
With screams and pain and Myriad way
to excite my guilt with blame.
The Devil said, “Stay calm my child.”
“There is not for you to bear.”
“Woe is the way of the world, my child”
“It’s nature – give not a care”
So I did not,
and everywhere the world began to burn.
Still I did nothing but stop and stare.
We live in the world we earn
The Devil said, “Just rest, my child.”
through the massive pearly white gates,
all but one sit atop their golden thrones in wait,
for the unseemly and innate.
all of a sudden, course and loud,
his footsteps thud across the marble tile,
ignoring all the balking crowd.
met with laughs and blinding jeers,
sentenced without hearing his plea,
he holds back soft and silver tears.
his dark exterior falls to tatters,
as he turns his back on the brilliant creatures,
revealing a blinding pitter patter.
for under his stunning midnight black,
unbeknownst to those who stare,
he wears an angel’s wings upon his back.
the angel walks out from the light,
into the burning depths of strife and plight,
until the winged beauty soars off and becomes
a singe of night.
I am everything you hate aboutyourself,
and you are everything God hates withinthemself.
For being made with hate,
you make each other with love.
That Is why youare my favorite.
If heaven turns you away,
you can fall and I’ll catch you.
God And The Devil Poem By Lucas Elizabeth
In the vast expanse of the cosmic sea,
Two forces exist in eternal decree.
One is God, the source of all that’s divine,
The other, the Devil, in the shadows he’ll pine.
God, in His glory, creates with a word,
Life, light, and love from Him are conferred.
His wisdom and mercy, like a river, do flow,
In His magnificent presence, all things grow.
The Devil, once an angel, fell from grace,
Banished to wander in the darkened space.
With cunning and malice, he sows seeds of strife,
In the hearts of men, he wields his rife.
Yet, in this dance of light and dark,
Each soul must choose where to embark.
To bask in God’s love, so warm and bright,
Or drift with the Devil in the cold, lonely night.
Remember, in this cosmic scheme,
Things aren’t always as they seem.
God and the Devil, in their own way,
Shape the night and craft the day.
